Samsung Galaxy Y on Vodafone
The Samsung galaxy Y handset is intended to capture entry-level buyers and consequently features a lower resolution 3-inch QVGA touchscreen. This slate-style smartphone comes without a keyboard, is powered by an 832 MHz processor and features a 2-megapixel camera. Although the galaxy Y palpably lacks the punch and prowess of its high-end competitors, Samsung has installed the latest Android operating system, Gingerbread 2.3, which enables users access to endless apps via the considerable Android market.
While the Galaxy Y - the letter representing the 'Youth' market - has cut down on the frills inherent to its more expensive counterparts; the EDGE and GPRS enabled handset features Samsung's popular Social Hub, a TouchWiz interface, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity and a Swype on-screen keyboard.
